Pulchan on Call is a London-based handyman and home improvement service. Working only with experienced, background-checked tradespersons, and are available 24/7. Pulchan on Call works at much more favourable rates than their giant competitors on the market.
The business owner Roan Pulchan is not only managing the operation of his business but supervising each job in person and often grabs the tools himself.
The Project
When Roan contacted me, his business has been already operating and actively promoting itself offline through leaflets and business cards. He wanted a page that matches the colour scheme of these printed marketing materials. He also asked me to build a page that reflects the "handyman" style and feels like an online version of a tradesperson's workshop.
Roan already had his logo, however, only in a low-resolution printed version, so I re-created the same graphics as an SVG vector file.
It's quite a complex website as it promotes the services they provide and is also a platform for recruiting new members to the team. So, I've built the homepage as a summary, then got into details on other pages.
The mobile version of the website has a "quick action bar" that constantly stays visible at the bottom of the screen, offering a one-touch call/email/Whats App message option, making contact Pulchan on Call as easy as possible.

After we launched the website, Roan asked me to manage their Google Adwords campaign.
Home improvement and handyman services in London are definitely very competitive fields, our campaign still started to deliver potential clients to the website right after its launch. And it costs as low as around $2.60 (£2.30) for each visitor. Thanks to the precisely targeted keywords, all of those who click on the ad are looking for exactly the services that Pulchan on Call offers.
It leads to a high conversion rate and after spending around $200 a month on this campaign (including my fee), Roan gets multiple jobs every month, some of them are smaller repairs, and some are full refurbishments, offering a decent return on the investment being spent on the campaign.

Parent Help offers experienced providers in social work assessments, supervised contact and other social work services. As their motto says, "All, with opportunities, can reach unlimited goals". Very true! I am feeling proud to assist Elizabeth, the founder of Parent Help in her online presence.
The Project
Parent Help already had their website when Elizabeth reached out for a bit of site refurbishment. After running through the page and the tasks that should have been done on it, we agreed to build a brand new website instead.
As Parent Help provides a wide range of services and the website is also being used for recruitment, it's another complex one.
I also used the quick action bar in the mobile version - a solution that most of my clients find useful, as it can incentivise page visitors to get in touch with the business right after they found the website.
Soon after the launch of the new page, Elizabeth received numerous positive feedback about her new website, and some of these businesses even asked me to build their pages too - which I gladly did!
